PEMF Therapy & Holistic Wellness FAQ
PEMF
-
PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy is a non-invasive wellness technology that uses gentle electromagnetic pulses to support cellular function, improve circulation, and promote the body’s natural recovery processes. It’s used for both people and animals to support pain relief, mobility, and overall wellness.
-
PEMF therapy works by stimulating cells at a deep level. These electromagnetic pulses help improve oxygenation, circulation, and cellular communication, which can reduce inflammation and support faster recovery. In simple terms, it helps your body function more efficiently so it can heal and perform better.
-
Yes, PEMF therapy is considered safe and non-invasive for both humans and animals when used appropriately. Sessions are customized based on individual needs, and many clients find it relaxing. As with any wellness service, specific conditions can be discussed before your session.
-
Most people feel a gentle pulsing sensation during a session, while others feel little to nothing at all. Many clients describe feeling relaxed, looser, or more comfortable afterward. For animals, responses often show up as increased relaxation or improved movement.
-
How many PEMF sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals and what you’re working on. Some clients notice improvements after a single session, while others benefit from consistent sessions over time. Chronic issues or performance goals typically require a series of sessions for best results.
-
Not at all. Most people describe PEMF therapy as a gentle pulsing or light vibration. Sessions are typically very relaxing and comfortable.
Here’s more information on what to expect during a session.
-
You’ll remain fully clothed during your session. Comfortable clothing is recommended, but not required. See more on our Human Wellness page.
-
No. Magnetic blankets are typically lower-powered and designed for longer, general use. PEMF therapy uses stronger, targeted pulses that penetrate deeper and work more efficiently, often delivering results in less time.

Recovery & Pain Relief
-
Supporting circulation and reducing inflammation are key to faster recovery. Therapies like PEMF and red light therapy help increase blood flow, oxygen delivery, and cellular repair, which can reduce soreness and improve mobility more quickly than rest alone.
-
Some clients notice changes after their first session, such as reduced tension or improved movement. For others, results build over a series of sessions. Factors like the condition being addressed, overall health, and consistency all play a role.
Red Light Therapy
-
Improve skin health: Helps in reducing wrinkles, scars and other signs of aging by stimulating collagen production.
Pain relief: Can reduce inflammation and provide relief from chronic pain, including conditions like arthritis.
Enhanced muscle recovery: Speeds up the healing process of muscles and tissues after exercise or injury.
Improved circulation: Enhances blood flow, which can promote overall health and healing.
-
It works by using specific red and near-infrared (NIR) wavelengths to penetrate the skin and muscle tissue. While the red light is visible, the NIR light is invisible to the eye but often feels warmer as it penetrates deeper to reduce inflammation.
Most people find red light therapy comfortable and relaxing.
-
Individuals with active cancer, those taking photosensitizing medications (like some antibiotics or acne treatments) or people with severe skin conditions like lupus should avoid it or consult a doctor first.
-
For maximum effectiveness it is best to wear minimal clothing such as bathing suit, sports bra & shorts etc. as light cannot penetrate clothing effectively.
-
Red light therapy sessions should generally last 10-20 minutes and gradually work up to 30 mins. For best results, target 3 to 5 sessions per week, allowing for rest days. It is highly recommended to stay drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Helps boost cellular energy (ATP)
Increases muscle performance
Reduces muscle soreness
Accelerates recovery
Applied before or after training enhances blood flow and lowers inflammation markers and also helps recover faster.
-
Both options can be effective. At-home devices are a great way to maintain results and support ongoing wellness, while professional sessions allow for more targeted, customized treatments using higher-powered equipment. Many clients benefit from a combination of both.

Where increased venous and lymphatic return is undesirable
Bone fractures or dislocations at or near the site of application
-
Compression sessions are most effective when used for 20-60 minutes and can be used daily or before or after exercise.
